Sift together:
2 c. flour
2 t. ground ginger
1 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
Blend together:
1 egg, 1/2 c. molasses, 1/2 c. sour milk and 1/2 c. shortening
Stir all together. Batter will be lumpy. Pour into a greased 9" x 9" x 2" pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400*
To make sour milk, measure out 1/2 c. milk. Remove 1 T. and give to the kitty. Replace milk with 1 T. white vinegar.
Plant and your spouse plants with you. Weed and you weed alone. Denis Breeze
