Stuffed Pork Chops

December

2 c. prepared stuffing
6 large pork chops, slit for stuffing
1 T. shortening
salt
1 T. lemon pepper
1/2 c. steak sauce
1/3 c. water

Place stuffing into slit pockets. Secure with a toothpick. Brown pork chops in shortening and season to taste. Place chops in a shallow baking pan. Combine sauce and water, pour over chops. Cover and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350*. Serves 6
