Nancy Dalene's Cookies

December 29, 1986

1/2 c. oleo
1 c, unsifted powdered sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 8oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Cream oleo and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate and nuts. Bake 11 minutes at 375* on a greased cookie sheet.
Nancy, my pre-teen wanted to bake cookies all by herself. I went to another room to clean and she kept hollering questions. I gave up after she got to baking soda and said "figure it out yourself." So she used a candy bar instead of chocolate chips. These cookies are FABULOUS! Job well done Nancy. Mother
