Seven Minute Frosting

January

2 egg whites
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 T. chilled water
1/4 t. cream of tartar
1 1/2 t, corn syrup

In top of a double boiler, blend ingredients, whipping with a wire whisk. Boil and whip for 7 minutes. Use on a cooled cake. Makes 2 cups.

You can make a double boiler buy putting a 2 cups of water in a pan, fit another pan over it, but don't let the water touch the top pan.

This recipe is from a recipe pamphlet dating 1932

Baby coyotes
.Many evenings, after chores are all done,
sitting here in God's land.
We watch shadows dance from the moons hand.
Fireflies, birds, crickets, each with his own band.

We thank you Lord for giving us a spot to breathe,
For all the happiness we've shared together
And for all the thrills of changing weather
Living a simple way, chosen the way I'd rather.
Amen
